Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle: Kumar Shivashish Appointed Jamshedpur City SP
Introduction to the Bureaucratic Changes
In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Jharkhand government has enacted changes that affect several key roles within the police department. Among these updates, Kumar Shivashish has been specifically appointed as the new city superintendent of police (SP) in Jamshedpur. This reshuffle aims to enhance the efficiency and security operations in various districts across the state.
Kumar Shivashish Takes Charge
Kumar Shivashish, who previously served as the sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) in Hazaribagh, has stepped into the role of city SP in Jamshedpur—a position which was left vacant following Mukesh Lunayat’s transfer to Saraikela-Kharsawan. As he assumes this vital post, Shivashish is expected to bring a fresh perspective and strategic approach to law enforcement in Jamshedpur, focusing on community safety and crime prevention.
Other Key Appointments
The reshuffle included the appointments of several other IPS officers. For instance, Paras Rana has been assigned as the SP for West Singhbhum, while Rakesh Singh will take on the responsibilities of SP in Palamu. Additionally, Ritvik Srivastava is now the SP of Chatra. Furthermore, Sheikh Mohammad Yakub has been designated as the SDPO of Hussainabad, Lalit Meena will cover Chainpur in Gumla, and Amit Anand has been appointed as SDPO in Hazaribagh. Each officer is mandated to assume their new roles immediately, ensuring a smooth transition and continued law enforcement services.
